With spring break in the near future, it might be the time to search for a new carry-on bag. Whether you’re taking a trip somewhere or indulging in a staycation, it’s always nice to have a go-to travel bag handy so that it’s one less thing to worry about. Weekender duffle bags have become a travel favorite among influencers, and for good reason. They’re roomy but not bulky and they have helpful compartments to make packing easier. This coming week, Aldi is dropping their own weekender bag, and not only does it look a lot like the viral Béis version, but it’s also almost a fourth of the price.
From March 12 to March 18, Aldi will be selling the LIVE IN STYLE Weekender Duffle Bag for $29.99 in the Aldi Finds aisle of local U.S. stores (while supplies last). While we don’t have dimensions, it looks like a spacious enough bag that would work as a personal item bag on a flight. It has the classic weekender design: a rounded, smaller duffle with two handles and a separate, zippered compartment on the bottom. The handles are reinforced and the bottom looks structured, so it seems like it’s not a bag that flops over easily.

This bag comes in three colors: black, beige and a checkered pattern. The black version has a dark main compartment with either faux leather or nylon handles. Both the handles and the bottom are a different black. It looks like this one has gold zippers as well.

The beige version is the same, just with a different color. The main compartment is a darker beige and the handles and bottom are a different, lighter shade. This looks like it has gold hardware too.
And lastly, there’s the checkered pattern Aldi weekender bag. The main body on this has a checkered (or more plaid) pattern. It has a white base and navy or transparent black and beige plaid stripes. The handles and bottom compartment are black and the zippers are also gold.

The Weekender Bag, $108 at Béis

As we mentioned before, this Aldi weekender bag is very similar to the viral Béis duffle: The Weekender Bag. It’s currently $108 and comes in seven colors and two sizes: Mini Weekender and Regular Weekender. The Aldi version looks closer to the regular size, which is wider. The Béis weekender bag has the same design, which is the standard one for this style of bag. It also has reinforced handles and a separate, zippered bottom compartment.
The main differences include the outside zippered pocket and the detachable shoulder strap, so you don’t have to just carry it in your hands. It also has a back pocket for your luggage, so you can hook it onto your rolling carry-on.

Samsonite – Better than Basics Drop Bottom Weekender Duffle, $99.99 at Macy’s

Aldi’s weekender bag is also very similar to Samsonite’s Better than Basics Drop Bottom Weekender Duffle. This costs $99.99 at Macy’s and fits the same design as the other two mentioned above. The Samsonite bag comes in four neutral colors and has a zippered bottom compartment. The straps are also similar, but it does come with a shoulder strap you can remove. Like the Béis duffle, this bag has an exterior zippered pocket.
With such close similarities, the Aldi LIVE IN STYLE Weekender Duffle Bag is a good deal if you want a no-nonsense weekender bag.
