Calgary dog lovers, the bat signal has been lit! The Calgary Humane Society is looking for heroes to adopt these adorable pups to their forever homes.
The kennels at the Humane Society are completely full, and they’re putting out a desperate plea for all adopters and foster families. If you’ve been thinking about adopting a dog in Calgary, consider this your sign.
Adopting a dog frees up space for other animals that have been removed from bad situations such as abandonment, abuse, and neglect. Every kennel at the Calgary Humane Society is currently full, so the need has never been higher.
These sweet dogs are looking for their forever families, and even if you can’t take in another pup right now, maybe you know someone who can!
Just look at those cute little faces!
How To Adopt
The Calgary Humane Society makes it easy to find your new furry friend. All adoptable animals are available to view online. Read each dog’s bio and consider who might be the best fit for your lifestyle.
There’s information on each dog’s personality along with details of any known history, medical information, and behaviour observations. Most pups are available to view at the Humane Society, but some might be in foster homes, so make sure you read their bio to learn how to schedule your visit.
What Does Adoption Include?
While every adoption package varies slightly based on the animal, all adoptions generally include:
- Spay/Neuter
- Microchip
- Up-to-date vaccines
- Complimentary Wellness Exam at a participating vet
- Six-week trial of pet insurance through Petsecure
- Six months of city licensing
- CHS membership for one year
