Abu Dhabi Hotel Industry Soars During IDEX 2025 Event

• In February 2025, Abu Dhabi’s hotel industry witnessed its highest average daily rate (ADR) and revenue per available room (RevPAR) since 2009.
• The surge in hotel revenues is attributed to the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) held in February, which also marked the highest daily occupancy during the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge.

As reported by CoStar, Abu Dhabi’s hotel industry experienced a significant surge in daily rates and revenue per available room in February 2025, reaching its highest levels since 2009. This increase is largely attributed to the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) held in the city from February 17-21. The event spiked ADR and RevPAR, with rates remaining above AED 1,000 throughout the period. 

In addition, the highest daily occupancy of 93.9% was recorded during the Abu Dhabi Desert Challenge on February 25. Despite a slight dip at the end of February due to the onset of Ramadan, the occupancy rate remained above 80% for the entire month.
