This Ubisoft game sold one million copies, a metric that’s either a success or a failure depending on which CEO you ask, and unfortunately in the case of The Lost Crown, it was considered a failure that scattered its developers apart and onto other teams at Ubisoft. Despite that, it’s one of the best Metroidvanias I’ve played in years, and it’s absolutely worth your time. I’m still upset that the team who made it — a team that won an award for this game, by the way — won’t continue to work together on future projects.
This month’s PS Plus lineup is available to play from March 18; the offerings for both PS Plus Extra and Premium members include not only Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown but also UFC 5, Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions, Mobile Suit Gundam Battle Operation Code Fairy, Arcade Paradise, Bang-On Balls: Chronicles, You Suck at Parking, and Syberia – The World Before. PS Plus Premium members will also get Arcade Paradise VR and the first three Armored Core games (Armored Core, Armored Core: Project Phantasma, and Armored Core: Master of Arena).
