Ontario Provincial Park
One of Brighton’s standout attractions is Presqu’ile Provincial Park, a haven for nature lovers.
It is known for its pristine lakeside camping and miles of sandy beaches. Presqu’ile offers a variety of outdoor activities, including swimming, and windsurfing during the summer season. But for an all season adventure, hike along its scenic trails and get your steps in.
According to Ontario Parks, it’s home to a 2.5 km sandy beach, 16 km of trails and paths, a migration hotspot in spring and fall, and a 1 km marsh boardwalk trail.
It is also home to a famous lighthouse. “Located at the south end of the peninsula, the Presqu’ile Point Lighthouse is the second-oldest operating lighthouse in Ontario. There are plenty of waterfront picnic spots for day-trippers along Lighthouse Lane,” shares The Bay of Quinte.
