Star alert Calgary! Two big names have just been announced to join the 2025 Calgary Expo celebrities lineup. If you’re a fan of Renfield, X-Men, or Star Wars, you’re going to want to hear this.
Nicholas Hoult, from the Oscar-nominated film Nosferatu along with roles in X-Men, Dead Bodies, and Renfield will be making his Canadian con debut at the Calgary Expo this year. Catch him on Saturday, April 26, 2025, as he speaks on stage or meet him for an autograph session and photo op! Hoult is also set to star in the highly anticipated, upcoming DC film Superman as the main villain Lex Luthor and we can’t wait to see it!
Another big name to grace our fair city is none other than John Boyega, best known for his role as “Finn” in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, The Last Jedi, and The Rise of Skywalker. His other notable roles include Jake Pentecost in Pacific Rim: Uprising. This will also be his first Canadian con appearance and you can meet him, sit in on his panel, grab autographs, and snap a professional photo op. Boyega will be at the Calgary Expo on Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Hoult and Boyega are in good company with what’s shaping up to be a star-studded lineup of celebrities at the Calgary Expo.

- Steve Guttenberg (Police Academy) – Appearing: Saturday

- Manny Jacinto (The Acolyte, The Good Place) – Appearing: Saturday, Sunday
This announcement comes off the heels of previously announced stars like the Canadian legend Michael J. Fox and his Back to the Future castmates Christopher Lloyd, James Tolkan, and Claudia Wells.

There will also be a special preview on Thursday at 2 p.m. for VIP, Ultimate, and 4-Day pass holders who purchase in advance.
