Ciara took to Instagram earlier in the week to reveal that she and her family recently received a special honor—they’re the cover stars of the Affirmation Issue of Kindred by Parents magazine.
The cover shot and another photos of the 39-year-old “Goodies” singer and her four children were posted on the official Kindred by Parents Instagram account, prompting Ciara to leave the comment, “”Honored 🤍🤍🤍.”

In the interview, the Grammy winner shared her thoughts on being a role model and parenting Black children.
“There was something really beautiful about me being a little naive. I never walked in the room thinking I’m a girl or woman of color. I just always thought that I could and I never understood fully that I might have been met with opposition because of the factors of who I am and that those things worked against me rather than working for me,” she reveals.
Ciara shares children Future Zahir, 10, Sienna Princess, 7, Win Harrison, 4, and her youngest, Amora Princess, who is 1, with her husband NFL quarterback Russell Wilson.

“I’m so grateful for the love that’s in my household, how my husband loves me and how he loves all of our children, and especially how he loves our girls,” Ciara says in the interview. “I’m a daddy’s girl, so my dad’s love was incredibly valuable for me.”
Aside from being a mother, she’s also a successful businesswoman, with her own record label, Beauty Marks Entertainment, skincare line OAM Skin and she’s co-owner of Ten To One Rum. She’s taken advice of her friend and makeup artist Yolanda Fredrick, who says “you get more bees with honey than with salt,” in her business ventures and wants to pass the knowledge on.
“I need to remind my girls to know when you are in the full essence of your honey and your sweetness,” Ciara says, “but also being firm and clear, you can make a lot happen in that space.”
