Hotels are great, particularly if you’re planning a proper romantic getaway, but sometimes you just want a place all to yourself – that’s where holiday homes come in.
Vrbo has just unveiled its roundup of the 2025 Holiday Homes of the Year, which features ‘places with amazing guest ratings, experienced and dedicated hosts, and stunning spaces that offer the most requested amenities on Vrbo from private pools to fully equipped entertainment rooms,’ according to Larry Plawsky, general manager of the platform.
They’ve been chosen from more than two million listings, and below is a selection of eight properties awarded the accolade this year.
One inclusion is Villa Shems Moon, a stunning home in the mountain village of Tameslouht, which is just a short drive from Marrakech. The property has a whopping 18 bedrooms, sleeping up to 38 guests. Massive group trip, anyone?
Another inclusion is Abercon, a chic country house near Buckaroo in New South Wales, which is a prime spot to catch a stunning sunset. Kilmartin Castle in Argyll and Bute, Scotland, also made the list, which has been restored to its original grandeur. Check out more from the collection (and photographs) below!
