If you’re looking to advance your career or enter the job market this spring, March and April can be a great time to go full throttle on your job search, as hiring managers start to feel a bit more urgency in the hiring process.

From social media advisors to nurse practitioners and everything in between, here are some jobs the provincial government is currently hiring for that pay above $75,000.
Training Consultant
The Ministry of the Attorney General is currently looking for a qualified candidate who will coordinate and provide project leadership for the planning, design, development, delivery, and evaluation of divisional and regional technical training programs.
To qualify, you’ll need to have knowledge and understanding of adult education theories, principles, and practices, and be able to apply them to current and practical situations.
You should also know how to develop and prepare training program documents for staff and external contacts, including instructional materials. If this sounds like your dream job, you have until March 27 to apply. The posted salary for this role is between $76,231 and $109,842 per year.
Social Media Advisor
If you have a university degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, then this social media position with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario might be right for you.
In this role, you’ll be responsible for managing the agency’s social media channels, executing its social media strategies, and utilizing insights from changing trends to recommend approaches that align with AGCO’s objectives.
To qualify, you’ll need at least five years of experience in social media management, media relations, or a related field, as well as expertise with social media platforms, especially X, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Applications for this role, which pays between $84,154 and $105,195, must be submitted before midnight on March 18.
Policy Advisor
This role with the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness in Guelph could earn you between $82,217 and $121,155 per year. If selected, you’ll be responsible for providing land use planning policy, technical, and strategic advice.
You’ll also need to interpret and apply theories, principles, practices, and applications of economics, policy development, international trade, and finance to support the policy and/or program development process.
Other qualifications should include the ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, and the ability to interpret and develop policy options. Applications for this role must be submitted by March 20.
Maintenance Contract Supervisor
Do you have experience in project management? If so, this role with the Ministry of Transportation in Scarborough could earn you between $86,330 and $127,214 per year.
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing a team that is engaged in administering all aspects of the ministry’s year-round, multi-year area maintenance contract.
You’ll be responsible for overseeing contractor summer, winter, and specialized maintenance activities including traffic signal maintenance, sign maintenance, road patrol, bridge maintenance, roadside vegetation control, highway line painting, guide rail, and crash attenuation.

Nurse Practitioner
If you are a registered nurse looking for work in southeastern Ontario, you might want to check out this job posting with the Ministry of the Solicitor General, which pays between $107,569 and $137,476 per year.
The permanent, part-time position is based at Brockville Jail and will involve communicating diagnosis and treatment plan options.
The ideal candidate should have experience in chronic disease management, pain, and symptom management, as well as mental health and addictions. To qualify, you’ll need to be registered as a Registered Nurse Extended Class (Nurse Practitioner) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario, and a Nurse Practitioner specialty certificate in primary health care or adult care.
