There’s a new reformer pilates studio opening in Toronto’s east end

20 March 20252 Mins Read

Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood is getting a new movement studio specializing in reformer pilates classes. Coco Reformer Pilates opens this April 2025 and here’s what you need to know.

If you’re in your pilates era, you’ll want to check this new studio out. Coco Reformer Pilates is located at 536 Eastern Ave., right at the northwest corner of Carlaw Avenue.

East Enders will get the chance to partake in group reformer classes like small group “Form Focus” sessions, and private events.

It’s a fairly large studio with 17 reformers. That means there will be multiple classes every day, whether it be larger group classes or more focus sessions.

Interior space

Though large studios can be intimidating, Coco has made the effort to incorporate a calming design.

According to the team, its design aligns “with the general energy and approach that will be a signature element of pilates movement at Coco.”

“The Coco studio is grounded in soft colours, to create an environment that is as calm as it is inviting,” adds Julie Mitchell, founder of Coco Reformer Pilates.

Lighting is low to maintain that calming environment, and the energy will prioritize slow, intentional movements, and proper technique. So don’t think you’ll find jarring mics or blaring music here.

Whether you’re a seasoned pro or just starting out, this new spot could be the perfect place to deepen your practice. Keep an eye out on Coco Reformer’s socials for an official opening date. For now, we’ll just look forward to feeling the burn in April.
