The week is flying by, and it’s already the first weekend of spring! So get ready for a fun-filled few days filled with concerts, an auto show, a fashion show, and more. Here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend.

Nowruz (Persian New Year) festivities continue at the Space Centre this Friday, just in time for the spring equinox. The family-friendly event includes fun, interactive activities, delicious food, and music.

Cheer on the Whitecaps as they face off against the Chicago Fire FC at B.C. Place this Saturday! The game starts at 7:30 p.m.

Speaking of sporting events, this Sunday, the Giants are facing off against the Kelowna Rockets at the Langley Events Centre.

The iconic ’60s rock band behind timeless hits like “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” and “Surfin’ U.S.A.” is going on tour and taking the stage at UBC.

Celebrate African fashion, art, and culture at this year’s African Fashion Week (AFWV), a one-day event bringing the diverse styles of the continent of Africa to the heart of Vancouver. This weekend, the event is raising the bar with even more runway shows, immersive cultural experiences, and a deeper exploration of Africa’s influence on global fashion, according to its event page.

Renowned comedian and actor David Cross has a new stand-up tour that’s coming to Vancouver this weekend, and fans won’t want to miss it.

The Vancouver International Auto Show is back at the Vancouver Convention Centre this weekend from now until Sunday, March 23, 2025, and will feature displays of some of the latest vehicles out there. So get ready to take your fave car out for a test drive!

Skip Saturday morning cartoons in favour of Saturday movies! Throughout March, select Cineplex theatres around Vancouver are hosting family-friendly showings of some very fun movies. The best part? Admission is just $3.99, plus a $1 booking fee.

It’s not too late to check out the Museum of Anthropology’s multimedia exhibition (and world premiere of), To Be Seen, To Be Heard, which tells the stories of First Nations communities across BC during the period of “potlatch prohibition” and other forms of erasure in Canada.

The second annual Vancouver Cherry Blossom Food Festival has kicked off, taking participants on a self-guided journey to over 20 participating vendors in Metro Vancouver with cherry blossom-themed treats.
