IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to open its first Garner Hotel, the Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, in Scotland in 2025, adding to Garner’s growing European portfolio.
IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG has announced the signing of the Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, marking the first time the brand has ventured into Scotland. This 195-room hotel, owned by Palm Holdings, is anticipated to open in the latter half of 2025.
The Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh is part of IHG’s midscale conversion brand, Garner Hotels, which was launched in 2023. The brand has quickly become a top choice in the UK and Ireland’s essentials segment. Currently, Garner Hotels has 10 operational hotels across Europe, including the recently opened Garner Hotel Preston Samlesbury, and 51 more are in various stages of development.
The Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh offers guests a convenient location, comfortable sleep, 24/7 snack options in the lobby bar/to-Go café, and a satisfying breakfast.
Situated directly across from Edinburgh’s Haymarket Station, Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh is ideally located for tourists and business travelers. For leisure guests, the hotel provides a perfect base for exploring the vibrant West End and the plethora of nearby restaurants and bars. On the other hand, business travelers will appreciate the hotel’s quick access to the Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC), ensuring a seamless blend of convenience and connectivity.
The hotel is also dedicated to social responsibility. Since the pandemic, it has been working with the City of Edinburgh Council and Bethany Trust to provide temporary accommodation. After transforming into Garner Hotel Haymarket Edinburgh, the hotel plans to donate £1 per guest stay for a limited time to Action Against Hunger, in line with IHG’s multi-year partnership to fight food insecurity and hunger worldwide.
