The rare talk occurred during the Monday, March 24 episode of Peck’s Good Guys Podcast, which reunited the stars of Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh, who had a public beef. They also spoke about Bynes, star of The Amanda Show, which featured all three young stars.
Recalling the last time he spoke with Bynes, Bell, 37, said, “I randomly talked to her in 2016. It was around that time. I randomly messaged her because she was in the news and I was just thinking about her. Then she responded and we messaged back and forth a little bit. That was the last I’d talked to her.”
Peck, 38, responded, saying that he saw his former co-star “every two or three years,” adding, “We’ll run into each other and she’s just the greatest. She obviously has had some public struggles, but I just think she’s got one of the great talents. I just love her.”
Bell also addressed his relationship with Peck. “I have my perspective,” he said, “Especially because we were going through this, like, during our adolescence and when we were changing and learning. It’s going to be interesting to see what my perspective was and what your perspective was and if they align at all. I would say there were times when we hung out a lot and we were close and then there were times when — not for any reason — but just we weren’t.”
“There were times where it was like, we might not have been getting along. But I think we were dealing with a lot of shit outside of our relationship or outside of us working together,” he added.
