On the Easter weekend there are usually egg hunts, Easter Brunches and other spring-themed holiday activities in Vancouver.
In 2025 Easter falls on April 20th. There are special events throughout the long weekend. Most Easter-themed events and activities finish on Easter Sunday but some continue until the holiday Monday.

In 2025 Good Friday is on April 18th and Easter Monday is on April 21st.
During the Easter long weekend there are a number of family-friendly events. Examples include Easterfest at Taves Farm, Baby Easter Animals at Maan Farms, Peteys Easter Eggstravaganza at Fantasy Farms, and an Easter Egg Hunt at Greendale Acres in Chilliwack. Britannia Mine also has special Easter-themed activities, as do a number of other places.
On the holiday weekend there is the Big Easter Run for all ages on the holiday Saturday. Because Easter is in mid-April this year, tulip festivals in Abbotsford, Harrison and elsewhere in the Fraser Valley will also have started up in time for the long weekend.

Vancouver Easter Activities
The following events happen within the City of Vancouver:
- Big Easter Run – this popular running race takes place at Jericho Beach on Saturday, April 19th in 2025. It’s a fun run, so suitable for people of all ages and abilities! Lots of runners wear costumes, so it’s fun to both watch and participate in. (TIP: To save 10% on the cost of registration for the run in 2025 use the promo code VBP10.)
- C3 Church Vancouver Easter Egg Hunt – a community event aimed at children ages 12 and under. There are easter eggs and hot cross buns at The Beaumont Studios (326 West 5th Avenue) from noon to 2:00 pm on Sunday, April 20th.
- Easter Vintage Car Rally – a gathering of dozens of vintage cars at Trev Deeley Motorcycles in Vancouver takes place on Easter Sunday (which in 2025 is April 20th). The event is open to the public and admission is free. Cars are on site between 10:00 am and noon before they head out on a drive around Vancouver.
- Easter Bash at Broadway Church – in 2025 the church at 2700 East Broadway has a free event on Saturday, April 19th. The event features kid-friendly activities including an Easter egg hunt and games.
- Stanley Park Easter Train – an Easter-themed miniature train ride at Stanley Park that is sadly cancelled in 2025. In years when it happens, kids can also meet the Easter Bunny and enjoy other activities.
Other Vancouver Events
The Easter Bunny often drops by for a visit at FlyOver at Canada Place, and last year was no exception. 2025 details are to be confirmed. What is certain this year, however, is that on the Easter weekend guests can enjoy the feature films Windborne: Call of the Canadian Rockies and Awaken Canada at the attraction.
Fraser Valley Easter Activities
The following Easter activities happen in the Fraser Valley region:
- Easter at Taves Family Farms – the Abbotsford Farm celebrates Easter with family-friendly activities on the weekend of April 18th to 20th in 2025. There’s also the Hunt ‘n Sip event for adults on April 19th.
- Easter at Maan Farms – this farm hosts Spring at the Farm and Baby Animal Easter Days (BAE Days) in 2025. The former features kid-friendly activities and a Tulip Forest daily between April 5th and 27th. The latter is an Easter-themed event on the weekends of April 12th to 13th and April 18th to 20th. BAE Days includes access to Spring at the Farm plus an Easter egg hunt, the chance to meet the Easter Bunny, and more.
- Easter at Fantasy Farms – the farm in Chilliwack hosts the following three events in 2025:
- Peteys Easter Eggstravaganza – child-friendly activities happen on Saturdays and Sundays (as well as on Easter Monday) from April 5th to 21st. There’s a miniature train, egg hunt, pony rides, bouncy castle and more.
- A Night of Illumination – a newer event that features an Easter egg hunt, light displays, food and drinks for folks ages 19 and above on Thursdays and Saturdays between April 5th and 19th.
- Family Night Train Rides & Egg Hunts – UV light decorations, a train ride, Easter egg hunt, bouncy castles, and other fun activities on Fridays and Sundays between April 6th and 20th.
- Easter Egg Hunt at Greendale Acres – the popular farm and attraction in Chilliwack hosts an annual egg hunt with extra activities. In 2025 the fun happens on April 12th and 13th, and again from April 18th to 20th. (At the same farm in April there is also the Chilliwack Plowing Match and Sweet Spring Flower Festival.)
- Easter at Kilby Farm – the historic site in Harrison Mills hosts Alice in Wonderland-themed activities on April 19th, including a Mad Hatter Tea Party not included with admission. On April 20th there’s also egg hunting, storytelling and other things to do.
- Harrison Tulip Festival – Western Canada’s largest and original tulip festival takes place in Agassiz (which is near Harrison Hot Springs).
- Abbotsford Tulip Festival – the tulip festival at Lakeland Farms in Abbotsford will also be a popular place to visit on the Easter Long Weekend.

North Shore Easter Activities
Events listed below take place on the North Shore in celebration of Easter.
- Easter Brunch Buffet – a special brunch event happens at the Pinnacle Hotel at the Pier. It takes place in the venue’s ballroom on Easter Sunday. Seatings are at 11:00 am, 11:30 am, noon and 12:30 pm. It’s arguably the best Easter brunch on the North Shore!
- Bunny Bingo – shoppers can play bingo for prizes and visit Peter the Rabbit and a Spring Ferry at Capilano Mall from 12:00 until 2:00 pm on April 19th in 2025. There is also a photo contest for people who take photos at the mall and post them on Instagram.
- Hoppy Heights – an Easter-themed event happened last year at Capilano Suspension Bridge. It featured special decorations and activities for children. The event likely won’t take place in 2025 (although the attraction will still be a great place to visit). Hoppy Heights might be back, however, in 2026.
New Westminster Easter Activities
The following events usually take place on and just before the Easter weekend in New Westminster.
- Spring Discovery Days – the Fraser River Discovery Centre celebrates the spring season with family-friendly things to see and do.
- New West Farmers Market – in 2025 the market takes place on Thursday, April 17th, (so not actually on the holiday weekend, but just before). Last year there were egg hunts, crafts, live music and other activities between 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm. It will likely be the same again this year, although exact details are to be confirmed.
Tsawwassen and Ladner Easter Activities
Easter events take place in both South Delta and North Delta. In the former, in Tsawwassen, there is the Rotary Club’s annual Pancake Breakfast and Easter Egg Hunt. It takes place in 2025 on the Saturday between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm at Diefenbaker Park. To learn more about this family-friendly event see the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen‘s Facebook page.
On the following day, in North Delta, there’s another event for kids and their families. This one takes place on the Sunday in Ladner. It involves both a small Easter parade and an egg hunt.
The parade in Ladner begins at 1:00 pm at the corner of Delta Street and Bridge Street. It proceeds from there down Delta Street to Memorial Park where the Easter egg hunt takes place. It’s a small parade/procession, but fun for kids.

Richmond Easter Activities
A great Easter event for young kids happens at the Gulf of Georgia Cannery in Richmond’s historic Steveston Village. The Easter at the Cannery event happens between 10:30 am to 4:30 pm from April 18th to 20th in 2025.
Admission costs $6.50 for everyone under the age of 18 and $9.50 for adults. The event features a salmon-themed scavenger hunt, arts & crafts, and a story-time for the little ones.

Sea to Sky Easter Activities
Below is information about an attraction with special Easter-themed activities in the Sea- to-Sky region.
- Easter at Britannia Mine – the museum up the Sea-to-Sky Highway has a scavenger hunt with mineral clues on the Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday of the Easter Long Weekend. The event is included with general admission to the mining museum. Children who complete the scavenger hunt and find all the clues get a chance to win a prize. There is also a special underground tour to enjoy that includes a giant Easter Egg Hunt where kids can trade the eggs they find for a piece of golden chalcopyrite!

Easter Brunches
Lots of Easter brunches happen on Easter Sunday each year. To learn about them, see our article about Easter Brunches in Vancouver. Popular places to check out include the H2 Kitchen at the Westin Bayshore Hotel in Coal Harbour and P2B Bistro at the Pinnacle Harbourfront Hotel near the Vancouver Convention Centre. Near the convention centre is the Showcase Restaurant at the Vancouver Marriott Pinnacle Downtown Hotel too. On the North Shore there is a fabulous brunch at the Pinnacle at the Pier Hotel at the Shipyards. Lots of other hotel restaurants put on fancy brunches too.
