Nintendo also delayed its pre-order for Switch 2 consoles from April 9 after Trump administration tariffs were announced April 2, the same day as the first Nintendo Direct focused on Switch 2. Pre-orders for the console and the launch bundle, which includes a digital edition of Mario Kart World, will go live on April 24. Despite speculation that the console price would be raised due to these tariffs, Nintendo confirmed Thursday that the console will remain $449.99 for the unit alone and $499.99 for the Mario Kart World bundle.
The Switch 2 launch date of June 5 remains the same.
