Debbie Harry stepped out in New York City on Thursday night, marking her first red carpet appearance since the death of Blondie bandmate Clem Burke.
Just over two weeks after Burke, the legendary drummer for the popular pop-punk band, died from cancer at age 70, Harry, 79, showed up for a red carpet photocall at the 2025 Planned Parenthood Gala in New York.

The Blondie frontwoman looked magnificent during the rare public outing, rocking an extravagant white cropped jacket over a black dress covered in white and yellow daisies.
The funky ensemble featured long pieces of fringe that sharply jutted out from the sleeves of her jacket, while her skirt featured a partially sheer skirt lined with white tulle.
To make the look pop even more, Harry added a pair of bright yellow heels to complement the colorful flowers on her dress.
The public appearance from Harry comes on the heels of the statement she and her fellow bandmates released while confirming Burke’s death via Instagram on Monday, April 7.
“It is with profound sadness that we relay news of the passing of our beloved friend and bandmate Clem Burke following a private battle with cancer,” they wrote at the time, calling Burke “the heartbeat of Blondie.”

“We extend our deepest condolences to Clem’s family, friends, and fans around the world. His legacy will live on through the tremendous amount of music he created and the countless lives he touched. As we navigate this profound loss, we ask for privacy during this difficult time. Godspeed, Dr. Burke,” concluded the statement, which was signed, “Debbie, Chris, and the entire Blondie family.”
