Caesars Entertainment has announced that it will transform Harveys Lake Tahoe into Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe Hotel & Casino, commencing summer 2025. The $160 million renovation will include several upgrades, offering its guests luxurious accommodations and enhanced dining and gaming options.
The transformation aims to capture the essence of Lake Tahoe in a contemporary resort design. Despite the ongoing renovations, the property will remain open, with the official transition to Caesars Republic set for July 1.
The 1.6 million-square-foot resort, redesigned by Marnell Companies, will undergo an extensive transformation, including a complete overhaul of the hotel lobby, casino, and hotel. The 88,000-square-foot casino floor will also undergo a significant upgrade, featuring new carpeting, lighting, furniture, and digital displays. The upgraded casino will house new slot machines, High Limit Room, and a World Series of Poker Room, blending sophisticated gaming with high-stakes excitement.
In addition to the casino, the Remus Tower, previously known as the Mountain Tower, will also undergo a remodel. Butler service will be introduced for select suites in both hotel towers. The Romulus Tower, formerly the Tahoe Tower, will be refreshed following a full remodel in 2020.
Guests will have access to a newly designed lobby bar, Cleo’s Coffee and Cocktails. Accompanying this will be WOLF by Vanderpump and the recently expanded Gordon Ramsay HELL’S KITCHEN, cementing the Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe as a leading destination for upscale dining experiences.
The renovations at Caesars Republic Lake Tahoe will continue throughout 2025, pausing during the summer season. The entire project is slated to be completed in mid-2026. This transformation marks the second Caesars Republic to open in two years, following the successful opening of Caesars Republic Scottsdale.
