This May, streaming giants are serving up a healthy dose of original content. Each platform is kicking it up a notch with star-studded shows and movies that will leave you binge-watching all weekend long.

Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick return for a sequel with Another Simple Favor on Prime Video. With stunning scenic locales (read: the Italian island of Capri), a wardrobe to die for and a murder in the midst, this is one dark comedy that should be on your radar.

It looks like sister rivalry is quite the theme this month: Netflix has a dark comedy Sirens starring Julianne Moore and Meghan Fahy that is the perfect series to binge on a weekend away, while Prime Video has The Better Sister, starring Jessica Biel and Elizabeth Banks, that has drama, murder and family time.

Nicole Kidman returns to Prime Video for a season season of Nine Perfect Strangers. If you loved the drama, mystery (and humour) and the stacked ensemble cast of season one, season two doesn’t disappoint on any of those fronts.

Film: Another Simple Favor
Air date: May 1
Synopsis: Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) reunite on the island of Capri for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a rich Italian businessman. Between the glam squad and uninvited guests, expect murder, betrayal and heaps of twists and turns throughout the festivities.
Why watch: Who doesn’t love drama, oversized hats paired with a glamourous wardrobe and Capri? Blake Lively brings the drama on-screen as she stars opposite Anna Kendrick. If this is anything like A Simple Favor, we’re in.

Film: Babygirl
Air date: May 6
Synopsis: A high-powered CEO (Nicole Kidman) puts her career and family on the line when she begins a steamy affair with a much younger intern (Harris Dickinson). She soon gets more than she bargained for, impacting her marriage and career.
Why watch: If ’90s erotic thrillers rank highly on your viewing list, this one ups the game through the female gaze in a fun and kinky way. Nicole Kidman gives a performance like you’ve never seen before. It’s no wonder she racked up nominations for Best Actress at the Golden Globe awards — the film also earning Best Picture nods.

Series: Nine Perfect Strangers S2
Air date: May 22
Synopsis: Nine new strangers are invited by mysterious guru Masha (Nicole Kidman) to join a transformational wellness retreat in the Austrian Alps. She plans to transform their minds and bodies over the course of a week. Will they make it? Will she? Masha is willing to try anything in the interest of healing everyone involved, including herself.
Based on: The novel Nine Perfect Strangers by Liane Moriarty
Why watch: If season one is any indication, this will be a wildly entertaining ride with twists that you won’t see coming. Even the new season’s cast is stacked: Henry Golding, Christine Baranski, Annie Murphy, Dolly de Leon and Murray Bartlett star, among others.

Series: The Better Sister
Air date: May 29
Synopsis: Chloe (Jessica Biel), a high-profile media executive, lives a picturesque life with her handsome lawyer husband Adam (Corey Stoll) and teenage son Ethan (Maxwell Acee Donovan).Meanwhile, her estranged sister Nicky (Elizabeth Banks) struggles to make ends meet and stay clean. When Adam is brutally murdered, the prime suspect sends shockwaves through the family, reuniting the two sisters as they try to untangle a complicated family history and discover the truth behind his death.
Based on: The novel by bestselling author Alafair Burke
Why watch: Who doesn’t like sibling rivalry mixed with a murder mystery and buried family secrets? Given Prime Video’s recent selection of well-curated originals, we’re betting on this one.

Series: The Four Seasons
Air date: May 1
Synopsis: It’s been a longstanding tradition for three couples who have been decades-long friends, to take a vacation together every season. However, this tradition is upended when one couple divorces and brings a much younger addition to the mix, thereby complicating their tradition and friendship. 
Why watch: The fact that the series is written by Tina Fey, Lang Fisher and Tracey Wigfield and was inspired by the 1981 Alan Alda film are reasons enough to stream this feel-good comedy.

Series: Sirens
Air date: May 22
Synopsis: When Devon (Meghan Fahy) visits her sister Simone (Milly Alcock) at her job working for the enigmatic socialite Michaela Kell aka Kiki (Julianne Moore), she is shocked by Michaela’s cult-ish life of luxury and decides it’s time for an intervention — except, Simone refuses to leave and Kiki is a formidable opponent. 
Why watch: This is a deliciously dark comedy created by Molly Smith Metzler (who also created the hit series MAID). Julianne Moore and Meghan Fahy are a treat to watch as they butt heads. If you liked Big Little Lies or The Perfect Couple, then this one is for you.

Synopsis: The ensemble comedy series about a group of twenty-somethings in New York trying to be good people, despite being neither “good” nor “people” yet. Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Paul Baker (Jack Innanen), Issa (Amita Rao) and Anton (Owen Thiele) are five friends crashing together in Samir’s childhood home, sharing meals, anxieties and, occasionally, toothbrushes.
Why watch: This new FX comedy series features a creative team loaded with FX comedy veterans, including Nick Kroll, so this is one to tune in for.

Series: And Just Like That…Season 3
Air date: May 29
Synopsis: Everyone’s favourite set of Manhattanites return for more drama as Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Seema (Sarita Choudhury), and Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker) navigate the complicated reality of life, love, sex and friendship in their 50s. 
Why watch: The season three trailer shows Carrie saying, “When the plot twists, we can choose to embrace a new chapter,” as she embraces her former flame Aidan (John Corbett). Their complicated relationship might take a turn for the better, while fans are tuning in every week.
