Ready for the best summer vibes? We sure are! So while we wait for the warmer weather, it doesn’t hurt to start planning all our summer trips ahead of time. You won’t have to travel too far to enjoy the ultimate beach park experience with an amusement park, water park, and more, all in one place. Confederation Beach Park is a massive destination on Lake Ontario, and here’s what to know.
The park is located in Hamilton and is home to a large variety of attractions. We’re talking bumper cars, hiking trails, a swimmable beach, restaurants, mini golf, and even batting cages.
Exploring Confederation Beach Park
Here you’ll find hiking trail adventures, including its 8 km multi-use Hamilton Beach Trail that runs through the park. This route is part of the provincial Waterfront Trail, which extends from Niagara-on-the-Lake to Quebec.
But some of the biggest draws to this area are the amusement park and water park.
Visitors will love the family-oriented amusement park Adventure Village, which has fun activities like bungee trampoline, rock climbing, and mini golf. It’s officially open for the season so if you’re looking for something fun to do on the weekend, this is a great option.
As for Wild Waterworks, the massive water park, it is home to six heart-pumping slides and one of Canada’s largest outdoor wave pools! But for this attraction, you’ll have to wait until the summer season begins. It’s not yet open.
As for Confederation Park itself, here’s where you’ll find Lakeland Kartways, which is Canada’s longest-running go-kart track.
And of course, if you need a little break or your fun day has come to an end, you can enjoy one of the many restaurants at Confederation Beach Park.
There’s just so much to do, we recommend you start your day early and enjoy this Hamilton destination.
