Welcome to the weekend, Toronto. Well, almost. We are one sleep away from exciting sporting events, shows, markets, and all the other makings of a perfect few days. Mother’s Day is also on Sunday, so if you’re looking for something fun to do with mom or the mother figure in your life, we’ve got you covered.

Here are 10 things to do this weekend in Toronto.

Author and podcast host Mel Robbins has become an online sensation over the last couple of years, and if you want to hear her words of wisdom live, you can do so on Friday night.

When: Friday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m.
Where: Meridian Hall – 1 Front St. E.
Cost: $345+ per ticket

Wine time!

Wiine Fest happens twice a year, including on Friday and Saturday this weekend. Ticket packages start at $62, but you need to act fast, as they are almost sold out.

When: Friday, May 9, and Saturday, May 10
Where: Exhibition Place – 100 Princes’ Blvd.
Cost: $62+ per ticket

In honour of Toronto Tulip Day, 40,000 free tulips will be given away at Nathan Phillips Square!

The festivities start at 10 a.m.

When: Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Nathan Phillips Square – 100 Queen St. W.
Cost: Free

The first Toronto Flower Market of the season is finally here.

Happening and its usual spot, outside of CAMH, all the beautiful blooms will take over for Saturday. Be sure to grab some for mom.

When: Saturday, May 10, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: 1001 Queen St. W.
Cost: Free admission

Toronto FC and D.C United will meet at BMO Field this Saturday!

Wear your red and get ready to cheer. Plus, tickets start at just $22.

When: Saturday, May 10 at 4:30 p.m.
Where: BMO Field – 170 Princes’ Blvd.
Cost: $22+ per ticket

Toronto Botanical Gardens will have its annual plant sale this weekend, just in time to grab a gift for Mother’s Day (or for yourself).

Admission is free.

When: Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Where: Toronto Botanical Garden – 777 Lawrence Ave. E.
Cost: Free admission

This tasting menu is a great price, aka an amazing option for Mother’s Day dining.

Priced at a refined $48, the menu is available on May 10 and 11 and features three cold share plates and two glasses of sparkling sake. A yummy sake, peach liqueur, elderflower, and rosé prosecco is also on the menu, along with a spring dessert with seasonal rhubarb and strawberry.

If you’re looking for other Mother’s Day options, Byblos Uptown and Downtown, as well as Beso by Patria, are opening exclusively for brunch on Mother’s Day.

Beso by Patria will have a Spanish-inspired brunch, while Byblos’ uptown and downtown locations will have a $65 three-course Eastern-Mediterranean brunch.

Where: Akria Back – 80 Blue Jays Way, Byblos Uptown- 2537 Yonge St., Byblos Downtown – 11 Duncan St., and Beso by Patria – 478 King St. W.

Need a giggle?

Comedian Nikki Glaser is performing in Toronto, bringing four shows to Meridian Hall — two on Saturday and two on Sunday.

When: Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11
Where: Meridian Hall – 1 Front St. E.
Cost: $60+ per ticket

Old Mill is holding its beloved annual Mother’s Day buffet on Saturday and Sunday.

The spread will feature “Chef-carved roasts, fresh seafood, gourmet salads, vegan and gluten-free options, and indulgent desserts, including our famous chocolate fountain.” Yes, please.

When: Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11
Where: Old Mill Toronto – 21 Old Mill Rd.
Cost: $60+ per ticket

Outdoor market season is here, baby.

The Toronto Artisan Market will be at Trinity Bellwoods Park this week, free to attend.

When: Sunday, May 11, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Where: Trinity Bellwoods Park – 790 Queen St. W.
Cost: Free admission
