A historic fire station in Fort Worth’s Near Southside and Magnolia Avenue area has been transformed into the Nobleman Fort Worth, a new hotel in the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and the Duchess, a chef-driven restaurant. Developed by Jeff Blackman of Bedford Lodging, the property featuures 153 guest rooms and suites.

The Nobleman Fort Worth, a part of the Tapestry Collection by Hilton, and the chef-driven restaurant Duchess have announced their opening in the Near Southside and Magnolia Avenue area of Fort Worth.

The hotel and restaurant are integrated into the historic facade of the original No. 5 Fire Station, a landmark building dating back to 1911. The property is located at 503 Bryan Avenue and is set to provide a unique blend of hospitality and dining in one of Fort Worth’s most dynamic districts.

The property, developed by Bedford Lodging’s Jeff Blackman, features 153 guest rooms and suites, including 121 standard guest rooms and 32 extended-stay suites furnished with kitchenettes. The restored fire station serves as the center of the hotel, housing the guest check-in, communal areas, game spaces, and the Duchess restaurant.

The Nobleman Hotel aims to serve a diverse clientele, including weekend travelers, medical district visitors, business visitors, and local residents. The hotel’s amenities include a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art fitness center, 2,000 square feet of meeting and outdoor event spaces, and terraces.

The Duchess restaurant, located at street level within the historic fire station building, offers New American cuisine influenced by Texas and driven by seasonal ingredients. A partnership with Lucchese Bootmaker will further elevate the dining experience at the Duchess’s bar.

Kathy Moran-Clarson of KMC&A Design designed the Nobleman’s communal areas, rooms, bar, and restaurant. The hotel’s arrival experience is enriched by the revitalized staircase of the original building, including the actual fireman’s pole, and a lobby with restored white tiled walls and brass accents.

Ashlar Projects co-owners Brooke Hollis Hortenstine and Missy Wyszynski brought the Nobleman Hotel and Duchess restaurant to life. They created the hotel and restaurant logos, messaging, menus, social media, visuals, and more. Kansas-based Crossland Construction provided the construction services, and Crestline Hotels and Resorts, a national hospitality management company, will manage the property.
