A giant inflatable water obstacle course is opening near Montreal this summer

12 May 20252 Mins Read

Not every summer day needs to be spent roasting on a towel. Less than an hour from Montreal, a giant floating obstacle course is about to shake up your usual beach plans, and it’s the only one of its kind in the country.

To mark its 40th anniversary, Super Aqua Club is unveiling Himalaya — a towering inflatable course designed by Wibit Peakz, the pros behind some of the world’s wildest water structures. This one happens to be the largest Wibit Peakz setup ever built in North America.

Starting June 14, anyone 48 inches or taller can put their balance, speed, and coordination to the test at the popular Pointe-Calumet water park. With room for up to 320 people an hour, Himalaya promises more action and less waiting around.

Himalaya joins Super Aqua Club’s already-popular inflatable Wipe Zone course, but it’s not the only upgrade in store. The park’s original mountain section — home to iconic slides like Les Serpentins, Turbo, and Super Chute — is getting a tropical-themed makeover. Visitors expect vibrant new visuals by Quebec artist Olivier Gaudette, whose colourful murals already decorate several corners of the park.

Super Aqua Club’s 2025 season officially kicks off on June 14 and runs through Labour Day weekend.

Getting to the water park is easy if you’re coming from Montreal. It’s about a 45-minute drive northwest, with free parking on site. Don’t want to drive? You can take the metro to Laval’s Montmorency station, then hop on a regional Exo bus toward the Saint-Eustache or Pointe-Calumet area. From there, it’s a short walk or cab ride to the park. Just be sure to plan ahead, as direct public transit options are limited.

Himalaya at Super Aqua Club

Address: 322 montée de la Baie, Pointe-Calumet, QC

When: Opening June 14, 2025

Price: Admission starts at $23 per person
