Here’s when Canada’s Wonderland opens its water park for the season

20 May 20252 Mins Read

Canada’s Wonderland is getting ready to make a splash this May with the opening of its beloved water park. Splash Works will open its doors for the season this weekend, and here’s what to know.

Though the first day of summer is just a month away, it looks like Canada’s Wonderland is bringing the heat early. Clear your weekend and get your swimsuit out because its water park is officially opening to the public on May 24, 2025.

As if you needed more of a reason to visit Canada’s Wonderland, Splash Works has 18 water attractions for all ages.

The 20-acre water park offers thrilling attractions, like cliff jumping and even a lazy river — which to some might be the cherry on top of an exciting day. But along with that, it’s also home to Canada’s largest outdoor wave pool.

Now, if only the forecast looked more promising this weekend, maybe we’d spend the entire day by the water. According to The Weather Network, Toronto is looking at a high of 14°C and even a chance of showers.

Though it may be too cold to dip your toes in the pool, it still sounds like a nice day to spend at Canada’s Wonderland.

Or if you would rather wait until the park’s highly anticipated launch coaster opens to make a day of it, we wouldn’t blame you either.

According to the park, AlpenFury “is anticipated to open late spring and will feature a double-launch, with one propelling riders into Wonder Mountain, and another that blasts the train out the summit, 50 metres into the sky.”

Sounds like it’s about to be an exciting summer at Canada’s Wonderland this year.
