1 Hotels has announced the opening of its latest addition, 1 Hotel Seattle, situated in the South Lake Union neighborhood. This sustainable luxury hotel aims to offer its guests a unique experience that combines sophisticated design inspired by the natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and a strong focus on sustainability.

The hotel, located at 2125 Terry Avenue, is strategically positioned at the intersection of nature, culture, and technology. The location offers easy access to Seattle’s iconic waterfront, the Space Needle, Pike Place Market, the Climate Pledge Arena, and Amazon’s headquarters.

The 153-room hotel, including 45 suites, offers guest rooms inspired by the Pacific Northwest’s forests, shorelines, and mountains. Each room is thoughtfully designed with sustainable elements such as in-room water filtration systems, 100% organic linens, and eco-friendly bath products. The hotel also encourages its guests to participate in their 1 Less Thing program, which promotes gently used clothing donations to the local nonprofit, Mary’s Place.

The culinary program at 1 Hotel Seattle celebrates local ingredients through its signature restaurant, La Loba. Led by acclaimed Chef Oscar Amador Edo, the menu combines Spanish cuisine with Japanese influences, using Seattle’s local produce.

The hotel’s sustainability efforts are evident in its building materials and practices. The hotel is aiming for LEED Silver certification, and more than 70% of construction waste was diverted from landfills during its construction. Single-use plastics have been replaced by reusable glassware, compostable packaging, and upcycled materials.

The hotel also offers six event spaces with natural light and city views, ideal for various gatherings, from board meetings to social celebrations. The Rainier Ballroom, with its landscaped terrace and panoramic views of the Space Needle, is a highlight of the hotel’s events program.

In line with its commitment to sustainability, the hotel provides complimentary use of a fully electric Audi Q6 e-tron for guests wishing to explore the city. With a Walk Score of 98 and Transit Score of 100, guests can easily access Seattle’s attractions without needing a car.
