Ben Savage may have to amend the title of his most famous show. Instead of Boy Meets World — the beloved sitcom that ran from 1993 to 2000 — the iconic ’90s star is preparing for the next chapter of his life: Baby Meets World. Savage is going to be a dad!
The 44-year-old actor, best known for his leading role as Cory Matthews on both Boy Meets World and its spinoff, Girl Meets World, shared the exciting baby news via Instagram on Tuesday, May 20.
“Arriving this fall,” Savage captioned his two-photo upload, which featured him and wife Tessa Angermeier holding up a set of ultrasound photos in the middle of a street surrounded by palm trees.

Though Savage famously had a falling out with his main Boy Meets World co-stars Danielle Fishel, Rider Strong and Will Friedle — with Fishel revealing he stopped answering her text messages — former BMW colleague Maitland Ward, who played Rachel on the series’ later college seasons, congratulated Savage in the comments section.
“🎉❤️ Congratulations both of you!” she wrote.
As to be expected, there were also plenty of other BMW references, with one fan hoping that Bill Daniels, 98, will be able to meet Savage’s child. “Bro I hope Mr feeny is still around to see the baby,” they wrote. “That would be epic. 🙏🏼.”
Others quipped that Savage should’ve ended up with Topanga (Fishel), Cory’s longtime love interest — and eventual wife and mother to their two onscreen kids.
“I’m telling Topanga,” one fan quipped, while another wrote: “Naw…TOPANGA WHERE U AT????”
As for Ben’s famous friends, his brother Fred Savage‘s legendary Wonder Years co-star, Danica McKellar, was left stunned by the news.
“Whaaat??” she wrote in shock. “Congratulations!! ❤️❤️❤️”
