Ahead of a very busy summer, Toronto’s new Rogers Stadium is hiring for a host of jobs before its official opening next month.

The seasonal, 50,000-capacity stadium at the old Downsview Airport (YZD) will formally open on June 29 with a live show from K-pop boy band Stray Kids.

It will host 15 shows from June to September, with Coldplay and Oasis performing multiple shows.

Coldplay will play four nights at the venue on Monday, July 7, Tuesday, July 8, Friday, July 11, and Saturday, July 12.

K-pop girl group Blackpink will do two shows on Tuesday, July 22, and Wednesday, July 23.

Oasis, who reunited last year after a 15-year feud between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, will be at the Rogers Stadium for two nights on Sunday, August 24, and Monday, August 25.

Artists like Chris Brown, Hozier and metal bands like System of a Down and Deftones will also perform shows between August and September.

To service all these big shows, Oak View Group is hiring across various hospitality roles, with duties covering everything from serving drinks to cooking in a restaurant.

The roles are seasonal, with expectations from around June 1 to October 15, 2025.

What’s more, applications are being accepted on an ongoing basis, with no set deadline to apply.

Bartender

Salary: $17.20-$19 an hour (tip eligible)

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have at least six months of bartending experience.

You will be expected to:

  • Meet the company standard for excellence in service to guests, interaction with your colleagues, and uniform standards.
  • Serve alcohol following all correct procedures, including pouring to the proper measurements.
  • Have a knowledge of the various beers, wines, and spirits available, and the ability to make suggestions on products to guests.
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary work station at all times and ensure bar equipment is clean and well-maintained.
  • Check guests’ IDs to verify their age.

To apply, you should also have:

  • A Smart Serve certification.
  • Experience handling cash.
  • The ability to prioritize duties in a fast-paced environment and be self-directed while being a good teammate.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and long hours.

Barback

Salary: $17.20 an hour (tip eligible)

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have a strong knowledge of beverage products.

You will be expected to:

  • Assist with opening and closing the bar.
  • Organize and restock the bar.
  • Run and serve cocktails, beer, and wine in a fast-paced environment.
  • Keep the bar clean.
  • Learn about food menu items and have a strong knowledge of cocktails.

To apply, you should also have:

  • A Smart Serve certification.
  • A good understanding of beverage products.
  • The ability to be a good team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • The ability to lift heavy items and stand for long periods.
  • The willingness to work different shifts, including holidays, evenings and weekends.

Restaurant Cook

Salary: $23 an hour

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have a culinary school diploma or any other professional culinary certificates.

You will be expected to:

  • Cook menu items with the rest of the kitchen staff, following the company’s specifications.
  • Follow the executive or sous chef’s instructions.
  • Ensure that food comes together on time, while maintaining a high quality and presenting an aesthetically pleasing meal.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with colleagues and guests.

  • Experience working as a cook in a restaurant setting.
  • An in-depth knowledge of different cooking methods, ingredients, and techniques.
  • The ability to be comfortable working in a team in a fast-paced kitchen.
  • The ability to work various shifts, including holidays, evenings and weekends.

Concessions Stand Lead

Salary: $18.50 an hour (tip eligible)

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have over a year of experience working as a supervisor in a food and beverage environment.

You will be expected to:

  • Oversee the setup of the concession stand and ensure it’s properly stocked.
  • Ensure all sanitation, safety, and operational procedures are followed before and during events.
  • Provide direction and support to the stand staff and volunteers to maintain a speed of service and guest satisfaction.
  • Supervise and assist with cash handling procedures.
  • Train and mentor employees, and create a safe, respectful, and inclusive work environment.
  • Supervise responsible alcohol service, including ID checks and monitoring guest consumption.

  • A valid food handling certificate and Smart Serve certificate.
  • The ability to lead and supervise the work of others.
  • The ability to communicate effectively.
  • The ability to work well in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment.

Salary: $17.20 an hour (tip eligible)

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, managers, volunteers and guests. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

You will be expected to:

  • Work the register and handle cash.
  • Take orders, prepare food, and gain knowledge in concessions operations.
  • Maintain stock and supply levels.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitized and organized workspace.
  • Serve beverages to guests, including alcoholic drinks, responsibly.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.

  • Ability to learn to handle cash, operate a cash register and the corresponding POS system.

Salary: $18.50 an hour (tip eligible)

Who Should Apply: You should apply if you have the ability to work as part of a team in an event-driven environment.

You will be expected to:

  • Provide friendly and professional service communication with all customers.
  • Ensure that snacks and drinks are served correctly and promptly as ordered by the customer.
  • Build and maintain knowledge regarding menu items and offerings so that customer questions can be answered correctly.
  • Respond to mobile orders from premium seating sections.

  • Experience in stadiums as an in-seat server or food runner is preferred.
  • The ability to perform duties that involve a lot of standing and walking.

Salary: $30 an hour

You will be expected to:

  • Manage the ordering, receiving, distribution, and tracking of all products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in all warehouse and storage areas.
  • Supervise part-time warehouse staff.
  • Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain and clean all warehouse and utility equipment.
