Ex-Habs player P. K. Subban saw Montreal’s naked bike ride and his reaction is a total mood, Life in canada

26 May 20252 Mins Read

While the Habs may have lost P. K. Subban to the Nashville Predators in 2016, the city of Montreal did not. Now an ESPN analyst, Subban can often be found back in town, posting about Grand Prix events and his favourite poutine joints.

But a recent Montreal-related post by the ex-Canadiens player has taken Instagram by storm. It’s a video capturing his surprise encounter with Montreal’s World Naked Bike Ride event — and his reaction is a total mood.

In the video, Subban — who appears to be sitting on a terrasse — is utterly gobsmacked and lost for words, as a parade of nude cyclists bike along the street behind him.

“What the hell? I mean, these guys have got no gitch. No, he’s got no gitch on,” Subban says. “Broads, too. […] Where’s the… I mean, that’s one of the craziest… that’s unbelievable.”

Gitch, by the way, is a slang term for underwear.

Clearly, Subban missed MTL Blog’s article explaining that the city’s 20th annual World Naked Bike Ride would be taking place on July 13 as a protest against the over-consumption of oil.

Ultimately, he responded in the same way most of us would if we witnessed a bunch of bare-butted bicycle riders without context.

“OMG! Cant make this up…. Who wants to go streaking?!” he wrote as the caption to his Instagram post, which has since racked up more than 7,500 “likes.”

A second post, which is captioned “Old School” with the location set as “514,” features a slideshow with highlights from his visit.

One photo shows him dining at Soubois on the same terrasse as in the video, meaning he was eating a meal when the cyclists crossed his path via boulevard de Maisonneuve Ouest. Another photo shows a man riding a bike, clad in only his birthday suit.

What a way to welcome back one of Montreal’s hockey legends!
