The Whaler’s Inn is expanding its hospitality offerings with the launch of The Stanton House in Mystic, Connecticut. Scheduled to open its doors on June 10, 2025, this new establishment will feature 10 suites, including options such as Riverview Penthouses and Premier Guest Rooms. The hotel is designed to cater to various guests, from those seeking romantic getaways to larger groups like bridal parties and family reunions.
Located in the center of Mystic, The Stanton House aims to provide a blend of modern amenities and classic New England charm. The suites are designed to offer comfort and elegance, with features such as expansive balconies, fireplaces, and separate living areas. The Riverview Penthouses are highlighted for their panoramic views of the Mystic River and the iconic Bascule Bridge.
In addition to accommodation, The Stanton House will also serve as a venue for events and gatherings. The main floor will be an event space, accommodating up to 40 guests. This space is described as having a design reminiscent of a captain’s library, with rich wood accents and nautical décor. The venue is intended for intimate gatherings, corporate events, or special celebrations.
Chef David Standridge, a James Beard Award-winning chef, will provide catering for events at The Stanton House, ensuring a high-quality culinary experience for guests. The hotel’s event team is dedicated to creating tailored experiences for each occasion.
