I found the best after-work spot in Toronto for activity lovers

29 May 20253 Mins Read

Looking for your go-to after-work spot? While I love me a happy hour, sometimes sitting around the same table at the same bar with coworkers each week gets old. While Spin has been around for a long time in Toronto (since 2011), I only checked out the city’s original ping pong bar recently, and I truly wish I had gone MUCH sooner.

The 12,000-square-foot space sits along King West, making it easy to get to and spacious enough for all your coworkers.

There are 12 ping pong tables, a semi-private lounge (which is where my coworkers and I hung out for the evening), a photobooth, a full-service bar, and a menu of bites that are perfect for sharing.

Ping pong table reservations can be made for groups of two to 10 people for one hour, and include unlimited ping pong balls (and they even pick them up for you as you go). Tables start at $58 per hour, so the more people you bring along, the cheaper it is.

Spin also has a $9 per person walk-in rate with the purchase of any food or drink.

If you really love the vibes or want to get better at ping pong, every Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. is The Rally at Spin, a community hangout with free pong, drink specials, games, and prizes, for just a $10 entry.

Fridays and Saturdays feature a DJ at night, and there’s even The League, which brings together ping pong lovers for a monthly tournament series (on until Fall 2025).

When my coworkers and I were there, we indulged in a couple of hours of ping pong (of course) and sipped on pitchers of the Spicy Mangonada with tequila, Cointreau, chilli, mango, and lime.

We obviously had to try out some food, too. Our group ordered the pub pretzels, sheet pan nachos, fries, and chicken bites. *Chef’s kiss.*

Honestly, we had the best night ever, and we weren’t the only ones. Coming out of the semi-private lounge at the end of the evening, the whole space was filled with groups of friends and coworkers having a great time — a true testament of how awesome Spin Toronto is.
