Here’s where to catch beautiful Toronto sunrises across the city

30 May 20252 Mins Read

We all know that Toronto sunsets get the majority of the love, but there’s still room in our hearts for those special city sunrises! Set your alarm, wake up extra early, and visit some of these beloved locations to watch the city come alive.

For a suspended view of the city coming alive, get yourself to the Humber Bay Arch Bridge. This 456-foot-long bridge connects both sides of the Humber River and provides excellent views of the downtown core. You can walk or even bike the bridge and the surrounding Martin Goodman Trail as the sun breaks.

Bathurst Street Bridge

Downtown sunrise snapshots are made at the Bathurst Street Bridge, shuffling city-goers between Front Street and Fort York Boulevard. Take a look off to the side of the bridge and you’ll see the sun creep up above the GO Trains and skyscrapers.

This hidden sunrise (or sunset) gem is located along the Martin Goodman Trail along the waterfront in Etobicoke. It’s a beautiful observation point with spectacular views of the skyline and Humber Bay, and is known for its famed Toronto snapshots.

Another great city park that boasts beautiful views of downtown, Trillium Park, should be at the top of your sunrise bucket list. Come early and get ready to watch as the city and harbour come alive with a beautiful glow.

For an intimate and natural scene for your sunrise, visit High Park and walk the trail down to Grenadier Park. Serene and quiet, you’ll be able to take in the park waking up over the water, and catch a couple of swans if you’re lucky.

While you can’t actually enter Casa Loma at the time of sunrise, nothing is stopping you from walking or sitting along the Baldwin Steps. These 110 steps climb the steep hill that leads up to Casa Loma, and make for a picturesque sunrise spot.

Rise and shine, Toronto!
