Picture: Squid Game S3 – Netflix

From the final chapter of one of Netflix’s most successful shows ever, to the much-anticipated season 2 of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s FUBAR — June 2025 has several exciting shows coming your way.

May 2025 was a decent month for Netflix subscribers. Some highlights included the crime series Dept. Q, as well as lavish series Sirens, following sisters played by Milly Alcock and Meghann Fahy. Looking to what lies ahead for June, it’s going to kick off a big summer. There are a few exciting new shows, spearheaded by the epic conclusion of Squid Game — the most popular series in Netflix’s illustrious history.

Let’s take a look at 8 of the most exciting series that you need to add to your watch lists!

Sara: Woman in the Shadows

Coming to Netflix: June 3

When looking through Netflix’s series slate for June, one show that catches the eye is Sara: Woman in the Shadows. While not exactly a standout in terms of caliber, the series, based on the novel The Investigations of Sara by Italian author Maurizio de Giovanni — looks to be a gripping, nuanced, and emotional crime saga.

We follow Sara, a retired secret service agent who’s thrust back into the world of espionage after the suspicious death of her son. As she investigates her son’s death, she links together a string of crimes that grow increasingly sinister.

Sara: Woman in the Shadows stars Teresa Saponangelo, Claudia Gerini, Flavio Furno. Check out the trailer:

Ginny and Georgia Season 3

Coming to Netflix: June 5

Ginny and Georgia is a certified hit on Netflix, having dominated the streamer’s top 10 charts in both its first and second seasons. Netflix has already renewed the series for a fourth season before season 3 has even aired. Arriving on June 5, the next batch of episodes comes from new showrunner Sarah Glinski.

As for what fans can expect, star Brianne Howey (Georgia) recently weighed in on her character’s journey. “Georgia is definitely pushed to her limits this season, and she has to survive scenarios she’s never had to survive before,” she told Netflix’s TUDUM.

Check out the trailer for the 10-episode season 3:

Tires Season 2

Coming to Netflix: June 5

From the return of Ginny & Georgia, to the return of Tires — June 5 is an exciting day for Netflix subscribers.

Debuting in 2024, the comedy is created by (and stars) Steve Gerben and Shane Gillis. The series follows Will (Gerben), who inherits his father’s auto repair chain. As Will tries to repair the repair chain, he faces harassment from his obnoxious cousin Shane (Gillia). Raunchy, irreverent, and completely off the wall, Tires has garnered a lot of hype ahead of its second season.

Mercy For None

Coming to Netflix: June 6

A savage, brutal story of revenge, Mercy For None adapts the beloved webtoon Gwangjang. The series follows former gangster Ki-jun (SO JI-SUB), who returns to the underworld after 11 years to investigate the death of his brother Ki-seok (Lee Jun-hyuk). As he uncovers secrets, a gritty sequence of events unfolds, but Ki-jun will stop at nothing to enact explosive violence on the perpetrators of his brother’s murder.

The Survivors

Coming to Netflix: June 6

Based on the best-selling novel by Jane Harper, The Survivors is an investigative Australian series. The story unravels in the sleepy seaside town of Evelyn Bay, where a tight-knit community investigates the mysterious death of a woman. As they delve deeper into the case, they uncover secrets and answer questions from the past, revealing connections to the loss of three young people fifteen years prior.

The Survivors is headlined by Charlie Vickers (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power) and Yerin Ha (Halo, Bridgerton).

FUBAR Season 2

Coming to Netflix: June 12

Starring Hollywood legend Arnold Schwarzenegger, FUBAR follows Luke Brunner, a CIA operative on the verge of retirement who’s forced back into the business for one last job. The action-comedy series was a big hit on Netflix when it premiered in 2023, and the follow-up season has been much anticipated.

“Season 2 is bananas,” creator Nick Santora teased when the series was renewed. “We’re coming up with some real fun surprises for FUBAR fans in Season 2, for sure.”

“It is bigger, it is better,” Schwarzenegger added. “There are more laughs. There is more of everything … including one more legend!”

The Waterfront

Coming to Netflix: June 19

In Kevin Williamson’s (Scream, Dawson’s Creek) latest series, The Waterfront, we follow the Buckley family as they try to keep control of their diminishing North Carolina fishing empire. However, as their troubles escalate, they resort to dangerous methods to keep themselves afloat.

The series stars Holt McCallany (Mindhunter), Maria Bello (BEEF), Melissa Benoist (Supergirl) and Jake Weary (Oh, Canada). It is inspired by true events, but the Buckley family is completely fictional.

Squid Game Season 3

Coming to Netflix: June 27

Squid Game needs no introduction. The Korean survival drama is the biggest Netflix show of all time. The series smashed records at every turn, and season 3 will premiere at the end of June. In season 2, Gi-hun returns to the deadly games after leaving as a winner. However, after launching a failed coup against the perpetrators in the season finale, the games continue. With so much at stake, not least a heavily pregnant contestant, the third and final season is all set up to be an epic showdown.
