2 June 20252 Mins Read

Lady Gaga‘s surprise appearance at Netflix’s Tudum event on Saturday, May 31, created an instant buzz among fans. The shock turned to sheer joy when the megastar was joined onstage for a surprise appearance by Wednesday‘s Jenna Ortega.

The 39-year-old A Star Is Born actor started her set onstage as she emerging from a coffin labeled “Here Lies the Mother Queen.” Gaga delivered an 8-minute medley of her songs, including her new track “Abracadabra,” accompanied by dancers in costumes styled after Addams Family characters.

Lady Gaga delighted fans by incorporating the dance from Wednesday Season 1 – known for its online popularity when remixed with Gaga’s song “Bloody Mary.” Ortega, in her Wednesday Addams character, then made an entrance, walking towards a dining table decorated with spiderwebs and imitation severed heads.

The joint appearance of the two stars on stage prompted immediate and enthusiastic responses on social media. “Two queens coming together to maximize their joint slay,” one user wrote, reflecting a common sentiment. Another posted, “OMG YASSSSSS! Thank you for giving us everything we needed in this era!!!! Mayhem for life!!!”

Lady Gaga then performed “Zombie Boy,” followed by “Abracadabra” to close her set. She concluded her performance by returning to the coffin, blowing a kiss to the audience as it closed.

Following the mini-concert, Lady Gaga posted a photograph on Instagram featuring herself and Ortega posing together inside a coffin. The caption read: “#DEAD @jennaortega love u lady.”

“Both queens! ✨ Your performance was amazing, Mother Monster,” one fan commented. Another stated, “OMG your performance was insane!” These reactions indicated a positive reception to the collaboration and performance.

The event served to promote Gaga’s new music and formally confirm her guest appearance in the upcoming second season of Wednesday. While specifics of her character, hinted at as the “Mother Queen,” are still undisclosed, the joint performance with Ortega has evidently increased fan anticipation for the new season.
