Daring acrobats and magicians to put on a dazzling show in Edmonton for free

4 June 20252 Mins Read

From flame juggling clowns and unicyclists to mimes and stilt walkers, there’s only one event that will bring some of the most incredible street performers from all over the world to the forefront.

This summer, get ready and get set to see some incredible acts at the International Street Performers Festival in Edmonton.

What to expect

Whether it’s because of the wonderfully weird or the weirdly wonderful, this all-ages event will leave you with a smile on your face.

A one-of-a-kind experience, those who check it out should expect to see artists and performers of all kinds, including puppet masters and musicians, but don’t worry if you’re a busybody.

Those looking for something fun to do outdoors are encouraged to hit Winston Churchill Square between July 4 and 13, giving you a ton of time to enjoy yourself on a lunch break or the weekend.

Interested? The festival is actually free to attend and will feature 34 artists.

If, however, you’re still not able to make it this year, there’s always 2026!

The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival. has been coming and going for years, and they show no signs of slowing down.

“The popularity and legacy of the festival comes from humble beginnings, starting as a loose concept in the minds of co-founders Sheldon Wilner and Dick Finkel,” they explain.

“In 1985, the Street Performers Festival was the first of its kind in Canada. The creative team consisted of a handful of friends, volunteers, and board members – nothing like the hundreds of volunteers we see each summer now.”

More information is expected to be released soon, but until then, get excited, Edmonton!

You’re in for quite the treat.

When: Friday to Sunday, July 4 to 13, 2025
Time:
TBA
Where:
Sir Winston Churchill Square NW, Edmonton
Admission:
Free
