Hilton has announced the appointment of Christian Charnaux as Executive Vice President and Chief Development Officer, effective July 1, 2025. Charnaux, who previously held multiple roles at Hilton, including leading the company’s Investor Relations, returns to the hospitality company after a tenure at Inspire Brands.
In his new role at Hilton, Charnaux will report directly to Christopher J. Nassetta, President and CEO, and will be a part of the executive committee. This appointment marks a significant return for Charnaux to the hospitality sector, following his recent position as Chief Growth Officer at Inspire Brands since its inception in 2018. Inspire Brands is known for its ownership of several major restaurant chains, including Arby’s, Baskin-Robbins, and Dunkin’.
Charnaux’s career includes experience with the Boston Consulting Group, where he focused on the travel and consumer product sectors, and earlier roles at J.P. Morgan in Technology Coverage and Mergers & Acquisitions. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where he was a Morehead-Cain Scholar.
The strategic hire comes at a time when Hilton continues to expand its global presence in the hospitality industry. Charnaux’s extensive background in brand management, commercial strategy, and finance is expected to bolster Hilton’s ongoing efforts to accelerate its growth worldwide.
Charnaux will start on July 1, 2025, reporting to Christopher J. Nassetta, president and CEO of Hilton, as a part of Hilton’s executive committee. Kevin Jacobs will continue in the role of Chief Financial Officer.
