Coquitlam’s largest park, Mundy Park, just got a revamped aquatic facility just in time for the warmest months of the year. The outdoor pool is newly renovated and open to the public as of June 1, 2025, and the expanded area now includes its own lazy river!
Set right at the forest’s edge, the park’s pool is accessible for $2 per person, with online registration available 48 hours in advance of your swim.
Beachside pool and lazy river
The new outdoor pool offers “a welcoming space for recreation, relaxation, and community gatherings,” according to the City’s website, featuring a leisure pool with beach entry, a splash area, a lazy river, and a deep-end lap pool.
Other amenities include a warming pool, diving board, universal change rooms and washrooms, and expanded deck spaces for lounging and event hosting.
Note that the leisure and warming pools are both accessible, with a wheelchair accessibility ramp installed for the main pool tank. The park’s two large change/shower rooms are also fully accessible, one of which comes equipped with a full bed and ceiling-mounted lift.
Visitors can refuel after their swim with a snack from Canuel Caterers at the park.
Ready to hit the pool for some laps or a leisurely dip? Visitors are encouraged to register in advance online, though some drop-in spaces are available.
Public swim sessions are between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., 2:30 to 5:30 p.m., and 6 to 8:30 p.m. daily, and occasionally between 9 and 11:30 a.m. on select days.
