Any true country music fan will tell you that the ’90s music just hit different. It was a decade that produced some of the most beloved, iconic performers and had a sound that was truly all its own. From Garth Brooks, 63, to Shania Twain, 59, every country fan was flooded with talent to choose from, but some of the more “underrated” artists like Clay Walker, 55, may not have gotten the flowers they deserved.
Walker is here to collect them now. Recently, the artist (who has been battling Multiple Sclerosis since 1996), performed at Rock the South, and covered Prince’s legendary song “Purple Rain.”

Fans were blown away (but not necessarily surprised) at how great the cover was, and how fabulous he looks.
“No one will ever top the cover of Purple Rain,” claimed one fan. “Clay knocks it beyond the park. I actually think I like it better than Prince.”
“Do not sleep on Clay Walker live….he is fantastic,” asserted another.

Over the weekend of June 14th, Walker was forced to cancel a live performance due to a medical procedure the artist said could really help him with his MS. That’s why in the clip just taken a few days ago, Walker is performing seated. Several fans claimed he needed assistance leaving the stage, which makes the performance all that more impressive.
“Bless his heart,” commented one fan. “Battling MS He had to have help to get off stage but still gave a great performance.”
