24 June 20252 Mins Read

July 1 will see celebrations from coast to coast, and Alberta is following suit. This year, Edmonton will commemorate Canada Day with a number of events all over the city, including a dazzling fireworks show, but where should you watch it from?

After you have visited the Legislature Grounds and Sir Winston Churchill Square, set your sights on the Rivervalley for an enchanting display.

Where to watch

Like so many before it, YEG’s big birthday finale will be explosive, and you won’t want to miss it.

Not sure where to set up your lawn chair? Here are just a few of the best places to watch the Canada Day fireworks in Edmonton.

Queen Elizabeth Park and Hill

Home to the city’s very first swimming pool, Queen Elizabeth Park and Hill make for a beautiful place to watch the fireworks every year. Here, you can enjoy the Indigenous Art Park and see the sky light up with colours bright, bold, and muted.

Where: 10380 Queen Elizabeth Park Rd., Edmonton

River Valley Road

Located in North America’s largest urban park, you’ll find River Valley Road. Here, not only will you get some fresh air, but you’ll also have a beautiful view of the High Level Bridge and Canada Day’s most colourful event.
