Major Country Star Forced to Cancel Even More Shows Due to ‘Continued Illness’: ‘My Voice Is Just Not There’

26 June 20253 Mins Read

After rescheduling two of his concerts, Luke Bryan has been forced to drop out of even more shows as he continues to battle a mystery illness.

Bryan shared the unfortunate update on social media on Wednesday (June 25), issuing an apology to his millions of fans and insisting that he needs some more time to rest as his vocal cords aren’t up to par just yet.

On X, the “Love You, Miss You, Mean It” singer wrote, “I’m really sorry to say I won’t be able to play this weekend’s shows due to continued illness. I’ve been hoping to rally, but my voice is just not there yet.”

I’m really sorry to say I won’t be able to play this weekend’s shows due to continued illness. I’ve been hoping to rally, but my voice is just not there yet.

Due to his illness, Bryan has pulled out of his upcoming headlining performances at three music festivals. They include Country Stampede in Bonner Springs, KS, on Thursday (June 26), NebraskaLand Days in North Platte, NE, on Friday (June 27), and Country Jam in Grand Junction, CO, on Saturday (June 28).

However, per a Taste of Country report, it was recently announced that Eric Church will be Bryan’s replacement for all three festival appearances. Bryan went on to thank his country cohort for stepping in for him on such short notice.

“Huge thanks to my buddy @ericchurch for stepping in at the last minute — and, of course, putting on a kick-ass show like he always does,” Bryan captioned.

The latest run of shows that has sidelined Bryan from the stage comes after he was forced to reschedule two of his weekend concerts as part of his 2025 Country Song Came On Tour.  The newly rescheduled dates for those shows will take place on Sept. 11 in Lafayette, LA, and Sept. 12 in Dallas, TX.

Earlier this month, Bryan earned the title of country “MVP” as he refunded attendees at his concert in Arkansas on June 19 after he experienced vocal issues.

“This is the weirdest thing I’ve ever dealt with in my life,” Bryan told those in attendance, as seen in a video shared on TikTok. “I cannot have my voice in this venue for some reason. It happens every time. I don’t know why. I don’t give a damn. I’m gonna refund everybody their tickets tonight, and we’re going to keep doing the damn show, OK?”
