Hit Rock Band Pulls Out of Glastonbury Last Minute After 'Unfortunate Development'

28 June 20252 Mins Read

The popular rock band Deftones, which currently consists of members Chino Moreno, Stephen Carpenter, Abe Cunningham and Frank Delgado, pulled out of the Glastonbury Festival in England at the last minute after a band member got sick.

Deftones announced the news on social media on June 28, writing on the band’s Instagram Stories, “In an unfortunate development, an illness in the band is going to prevent us from playing Glastonbury tonight. We’re devastated to be missing out on something we’ve been looking forward to for months, but sometimes circumstances out of our control interfere with things we want to do the most.”

The Glastonbury Festival also announced the tough news on X, writing, “Deftones have been forced to cancel tonight’s 8.30pm Other Stage performance due to illness in the band. Skepta will kindly step-in, taking the stage at 9pm.”

Fans were upset at the news, with one saying that they were “Crying cause deftones pulled out,” while another fan said they were “gutted” to hear about the band’s cancellation.

Deftones didn’t share any details about the band member’s illness, but the band seemed confident that their performance scheduled for tomorrow in London would go on as scheduled.
