Hyatt Hotels Corporation has announced the opening of the Mumian Shaoxing Hotel in Shaoxing City, China, as part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt.
Hyatt Hotels Corporation, in partnership with Shenzhen Yuen Kai Hotel Management Co., Ltd., has opened the Mumian Shaoxing Hotel in Shaoxing City, China. This new addition to The Unbound Collection by Hyatt is situated within the renovated former Shaoxing 871 Chip Factory, integrating elements of the site’s industrial past with contemporary design.
The hotel features 90 guest rooms located on the second and third floors, with sizes ranging from 484 to 2,206 square feet. The design incorporates the original skeletal truss structure of the factory, with a focus on geometric and natural elements. The rooms are equipped with amenities such as Dyson hairdryers, Atelier Cologne bath products, and Tivoli Audio systems. The hotel also offers curated art tours and a photo gallery that highlights the building’s transformation.
Dining options at the hotel include the Xiaonanyang Restaurant, which offers all-day dining with a focus on Shaoxing flavors, and the Xingshan Lobby Bar, known for afternoon teas and cocktails. Additional facilities include a fitness center, yoga studio, and children’s club.
The hotel’s “Story Bloomers” program offers guests a range of cultural experiences, including traditional Shexi opera performances, heritage workshops, and calligraphy sessions. The program also offers evening activities such as the “Starlight Overture” ceremony, featuring local music and Shaoxing wine tastings.
Located at the foot of Fushan Mountain, the hotel is part of the Shaoxing Place commercial complex in Yuecheng District. It is a 25-minute drive from Shaoxing North Railway Station and offers access to local attractions, including Lu Xun’s Native Place and the Sanwei Study. Nearby, guests can visit Fushan Park and the Xu Wei Art Museum.
In conjunction with the hotel’s opening, World of Hyatt members can earn up to 1,500 Bonus Points for qualifying stays at the Mumian Shaoxing Hotel from July 1, 2025, to September 30, 2025.
