A Stampede event series will bring more pop-up markets and live music to Calgary this week

2 July 20253 Mins Read

Yahoo! The Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth is finally here, but it certainly won’t be the only Western event to hit the inner city this summer. For those who dream of hitting up the Calgary Stampede on a weekday but have to work, there will be a series of lunchtime events at the Core Shopping Centre downtown, and it’s going to be good.

Stampede events at the Core

Over a million visitors will take to Stampede Park this July in cowboy boots and wide-brimmed hats.

Unfortunately, many of us will have to work through the big event, but if you clock in downtown, you’re in luck!

Until July 13, the Core shopping centre will host an exciting lineup of midday performances and programming to keep you involved and excited until you, too, can get country.

“We’re kicking off Stampede season in true Calgary style—with a lively mix of western fun, flair, and freebies at The CORE!” said Kaitlan Caldwell, Marketing Manager at The CORE Shopping Centre.

“From toe-tapping performances and hands-on activities to exciting giveaways, the CORE Midway is the perfect spot to bring the community together and get locals and tourists alike into the Stampede spirit!”

Want to check it out? Here’s everything that’s happening on the Level 2 glass bridge this month.
