Hyatt Announces Strategic Leadership Transitions in EAME and Inclusive Collection

4 July 20252 Mins Read

  • Hyatt Announces Strategic Leadership Transitions in EAME and Inclusive Collection

Hyatt Hotels Corporation has made several leadership changes to align with its strategic focus on growth in the all-inclusive segment. Effective July 1, 2025, Marc Jacheet has taken on the role of Group President for Europe, Africa, and the Middle East (EAME). This appointment follows a transition period with his predecessor, Javier Águila, who has shifted to focus on leading Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection globally.

Águila’s new role as President of the Inclusive Collection involves overseeing development, brand leadership, and operations worldwide. This move is part of Hyatt’s strategy to capitalize on opportunities in the all-inclusive market. The company has recently expanded in this area through acquisitions, including Playa Hotels & Resorts and a joint venture with Grupo Piñero, which includes managing Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts-branded properties. Additionally, Hyatt acquired Apple Leisure Group in 2021, further strengthening its position in the all-inclusive sector.

Jim Chu, a Hyatt veteran, has transitioned from Chief Growth Officer to Head of Owner Relations, also effective July 1. This change aims to enhance focus on Hyatt’s relationships with its owner community. During this transition, Mark Hoplamazian, Hyatt’s President and CEO, will temporarily assume the responsibilities of Chief Growth Officer, overseeing development strategy and execution.

Hyatt has reported consistent net room growth for eight consecutive years, with a pipeline of approximately 138,000 rooms as of the first quarter of 2025. This represents a 97% increase compared to the end of 2017.
