Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa opened on July 3, 2025, with a ceremony that included a guitar smash event. The $350 million development is the first fully integrated Hard Rock resort in Canada, located in the capital city of Ottawa.

The resort features a 150-room hotel, which includes 22 suites, and offers over 150,000 square feet of entertainment and hospitality facilities. Among the amenities are multiple dining options, including the Hard Rock Cafe and Council Oak Steaks & Seafood, as well as a performance venue, Hard Rock LIVE, with a capacity of up to 2,200 guests. The casino floor has been expanded to include slots, live table games, and high-limit gaming areas.

The opening event included a performance by the Canadian Tenors and a $100,000 donation to the Ottawa Food Bank. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including leaders from the Seminole Tribe of Florida, executives from Hard Rock International, and local government officials.

The project is expected to create over 600 jobs and contribute to the local economy by attracting visitors to Ottawa. The resort aims to provide a comprehensive entertainment experience, combining gaming, hospitality, and live performances.

The opening celebrations will continue with performances by David Foster and Katharine McPhee on July 3, followed by a concert by Avril Lavigne on July 5.

Hard Rock International operates Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Ottawa in partnership with the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG).
