Caitlin Clark, Indiana Fever Comfort Teammate After Personal Loss

9 July 20252 Mins Read

Indiana Fever player Lexie Hull found comfort from Caitlin Clark and her teammates after experiencing a devastating loss.

The Stanford University alum announced on her Instagram the passing of a family member: her beloved 14-year-old dog.

In a heartfelt tribute, the WNBA star penned a sweet message for her adorable pooch along with photos of herself with Maggie, some from her teenage years, while the mixed beagle was just a pup.

“14 years with the sweetest mags! Home won’t be the same without you! Heaven got the best girl this week,” she wrote, captioning a black-and-white photo of the two.

Following her emotional post, Fever teammates hit the comment section as they expressed their condolences for the loss of her beloved pet.

Among those who commented first was WNBA star Caitlin Clark, who said, “Love you. Doggie heaven.”

“Nooooo, Lex, I’m sorry,” Sophie Cunningham added.

Fever forward Aaliyah Boston seemed emotional about the loss and commented, “Nooooo Lex, I’m sorry.”

Kelsey Mitchell expressed the same and added, “I’m sorry, sexy lexi.”

Besides her teammates, fellow WNBA players also extended their condolences and support during this difficult time.

New York Liberty player Isabelle Harrison seemed at a loss for words and commented with a string of dove, white heart and crying face emojis, signaling a quiet but heartfelt show of sympathy.

Hull, a devoted dog lover, shared her grief with the world after losing Maggie. She still has another furry companion, her dog Libby, by her side, offering comfort as she navigates this emotional loss.

The 25-year-old often showcases Libby on TikTok, especially during her outfit check videos.
