Even though LEGOs are in the toy aisle wherever they’re sold, tons of adults love building these brick sets, often themed to their favorite franchises. Whether you’re a self-proclaimed AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), as they’re called in the LEGO-building community, or you just love collecting them, their sets are for everyone of all ages. However, which 2025 LEGO sets are the best for adults?
One of the best people to answer that is someone who builds LEGO sets for a living. And that’s why Parade spoke with Jean, popular LEGO content creator and reviewer known as @jeansversion on social media. She never intended to make a career out of a love for LEGOs, but she’s been a full-time content creator for nearly two years.
She started her Instagram account back in 2021 so that she had a space to post about her interests and “wouldn’t bother [her] family and friends.” She started out just wanting to share her favorite items she collected: Mando posters, Black Series action figures, Funko Pops, replica lightsabers, etc. A year out and she had 15k followers; now her Instagram has 102k followers, her TikTok has 28.1k followers and her YouTube channel has 14.9k subscribers.
She actually didn’t build her first LEGO set until May 2022. It was the LEGO Star Wars Darth Vader Helmet, and she chose it because it fit in with her “Dark Side” themed shelf, which had Funko Pops, Darth Vader’s lightsaber, a Sith holocron and more. She tells Parade that she didn’t understand the LEGO hype until then, but once she sat down and built one set, she got it.
“For me, it was extremely therapeutic and as a big mental health advocate and someone who has suffered anxiety and depression, it was an outlet and a way to slow down,” she says.
Now, she’s a LEGO influencer, ambassador and routinely posts “AFOL humor and early set reviews.” And while her favorite set she’s built so far is the LEGO Lord of the Rings Rivendell—“This is by far the most beautiful LEGO set ever, in my opinion, and an incredible build experience,” Jean says—her three favorite 2025 LEGO sets for adults include a nice range of franchise builds and art sets.

A LEGO Reviewer’s 3 Favorite 2025 LEGO Sets for Adults
‘Twilight’ The Cullen House
The first set that Jean recommends is the LEGO Ideas Twilight The Cullen House set, which just came out this year.
“The Twilight Cullen House is pretty nostalgic for any Twilight fan, but I have to also add that it’s a very well-designed house, and you don’t have to be a Twilight fan to get that set!” she says. “For anyone who has LEGO cities and things like that, this is a fully modular building.”
The 2,001-piece set is a LEGO build of the Cullen family’s luxurious abode ($219.99) seen in The Twilight Saga. It comes with seven minifigures from the film series as well, including Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. Plus, Edward has a special sparkly skin effect, which is bound to make Team Edward fans excited.
But again, as Jean notes, the nice thing about this set is that you can customize it and modify it if you’re into building your own houses with LEGO blocks.
Vincent van Gogh – Sunflowers
This next build, the Vincent van Gogh Sunflowers LEGO set ($199.99), is a 2025 favorite for Jean because of how stunning it is.
“I am a huge fan of the van Gogh series of Sunflower paintings, and I actually had the chance to see these revealed back in September in Billund, Denmark (LEGO Headquarters) and had to keep that secret for MONTHS before it was revealed in February,” Jean shares. “I actually screamed during the reveal, I couldn’t believe the iconic van Gogh painting was being turned into a LEGO set. I also feel like LEGO Art in general gets a bad rap, but this was a really fun build to see come together and the end result is gorgeous.”
This set has 2,615 pieces and once finished measures over 22 inches tall, 17 inches wide and 2 inches deep. Plus, you can hang it on the wall to display it, like a real painting, or you can prop it up. It even has a special brick with van Gogh’s signature, which is a “true homage” to the artist, per LEGO’s site.

Jango Fett’s Firespray-Class Starship
If you couldn’t tell by her initial collection involving a lot of Star Wars items, LEGO Star Wars sets are still her favorite to build and collect.
“LEGO Star Wars is my favorite theme, especially the 18+ line of helmets, dioramas and buildable figures,” Jean shares. “I’m not much into the playsets, though I do love the minifigures.”
So this list wouldn’t be complete without one of these sets! So last, but not least, Jean recommends Jango Fett’s Starship ($299.99), which recently came out for Star Wars Day, May the 4th, this year.
“For any LEGO Star Wars fan, this is a must-have and an awesome addition to the UCS (Ultimate Collector Series) lineup,” Jean shares. “LEGO has improved their building techniques so much since they released Boba Fett’s version of the starship from 10 years ago, plus this one just looks like a stunner on display.”
Speaking of that, once finished, you can display this starship in either its flying mode or landing mode, which definitely adds to the appeal because of how unique this ship is in both modes. This set comes with 2,970 pieces and two minifigures (Boba and Jango Fett from Star Wars: Episode II — The Attack of the Clones). And it measures over 8 inches tall, 16 inches wide and 18 inches.
4 Underrated LEGO Sets, Recommended by a LEGO Reviewer
In addition to Jean’s favorite LEGO sets for adults that came out in 2025 (so far), we also asked her about LEGO builds that are underrated, unsung favorites that more people should look out for. These sets range from Star Wars builds to a Disney darling.
LEGO Chopper
For any fan of Star Wars, Chopper’s lore is well-known. The funny little atromech droid, who has committed lots of war crimes in his day, is just as fun in LEGO form.
“The LEGO Chopper is at the top of the list, namely because I’ve been wanting and asking for a LEGO Chopper droid set since I first got into LEGO!” Jean shares. “He is my favorite droid and I can’t believe there hasn’t been any love for this sassy droid from Rebels as of yet.”
This build ($99.99) comes with 1,039 pieces, a display plaque and a mini Chopper.
AT-AT Driver Helmet
Jean really likes LEGO’s Star Wars helmet collection, which makes total sense (have you seen them?). While her first LEGO set was Darth Vader’s helmet, an unsung favorite of hers is another helmet in this LEGO series.
“The AT-AT helmet marked the return of the helmet series after a ton of people thought LEGO was retiring the line, and it was a banger of a set,” Jean says. “The helmet design looks so good.”
This set ($69.99) is still available to order and contains 730 pieces. Once finished, it measures over 7.5 inches tall, 5 inches wide and 5 inches deep.

LEGO ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Castle
While not Star Wars related, this LEGO build comes from another big name: Disney (and Disney Princesses, to be exact).
“The LEGO ‘Beauty and the Beast’ Castle was a surprisingly fun build, and it’s so beautiful,” she says.
The Beast’s castle ($279.99) is so intricate and features a fun purple facade, like in the movie. It has a whopping 2,916 pieces and 10 minifigures, so not only will it be a great building experience, but it’ll be full of characters, accessories and Easter eggs.
LEGO Brick-Built ‘Star Wars’ Logo Set
Lastly, Jean recommends the brick-built iconic Star Wars logo. It might seem a little weird to just get the logo to build, but the LEGO influencer says to have an open mind because it actually works really well with many collections.
“Hear me out: the LEGO Star Wars logo complements any Star Wars collection well, even if you don’t collect any LEGO at all,” she explains. “It’s just a nice and sleek-looking display piece and I’m a big fan of it.”
This set ($59.99) comes with 700 pieces to build the well-known typeface that any superfan will love.
