In a recent interview, ’80s icon Rick Springfield spoke about the “craziest thing” that ever happened to him during a live show. Naturally, the rocker had some pretty good stories in his back pocket.

In a recent interview with the New York Post, the “Jessie’s Girl” singer was asked: “What is the craziest thing to have happened at a live show of yours?”
First he mentioned famous ballet dancer Rudolf Nuryev watching one of his shows from the side of the stage, which he called “pretty out there.” But then the rocker recalled an embarrassing moment of his.

“I played half a show with my fly open — I thought everyone was looking at my my mighty man bulge and going — but my fly was open,” he said. “That was humiliating.”
Of course, Springfield has enough cool points to cancel out the fly incident. Not only was he an ’80s rock icon with several songs in the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, as well as a soap opera star on General Hospital, but Springfield is still at it on tour and breaking hearts. He’s currently part of the “I Want My ’80s Tour,” which runs through August 10.
