This July, get ready and get set to see some incredible acts at the International Street Performers Festival in Edmonton. From flame juggling clowns and unicyclists to mimes and stilt walkers, there’s only one event that will bring some of the world’s most incredible street performers to Calgary.

Mile Zero Dance presents their biennial festival, REELING: Dance on Screen, which showcases local and international artists and their diverse works. This year, the program includes two weeks of immersive dance film experiences by directors and choreographers from around the world, including Vancouver’s Matriarchs Uprising, by Indigenous female choreographers.
There will also be a selection of 26 national and international short films, a late-night outdoor screening, and an opening celebration with Sokaris Studios on Saturday, July 19, 2025.

This week, you can head to the Citadel for a discussion panel inspired by Legally Blonde the Musical, where guests will hear from accomplished women in business, legal, and non-profit sectors from right here in Edmonton.

This storied festival has become a highly anticipated summer event, and it requires putting on your Shakespearean hats. The Freewill Shakespeare Festival presents As You Like It, directed by David Horak, bringing the timeless comedy set in the whimsical Forest of Arden to the stage.

This award-winning guided float takes you on a journey down the North Saskatchewan River, complete with a picnic-style meal from one of Edmonton’s top restaurants. The experience begins at Dawson Park, where guests shuttle upriver to Laurier Park. From here, you’ll float through the lush greenery of Edmonton’s west river valley past Buena Vista Dog Park and Hawrelak Park.

This Friday marks the second international rugby match hosted in Edmonton as Canada’s Men’s Rugby Team faces off against Spain at Clarke Stadium. So get ready to join the excitement and cheer on Team Canada as they gear up for the 2025 Pacific Nations Cup.
