Episode 8 of the competition show saw the contestants embark on a rib fest challenge . The episode is described as “It’s time for another live-fire showdown and one of the toughest, smokiest and hottest challenges yet! In the advantage challenge, team captains Bobby Flay, Maneet Chauhan and Antonia Lofaso go primal, cooking dishes straight in the coals. Then, the Brawlers craft massive, meaty rib feasts on Argentinian asado iron crosses for the team brawl“
What was the brawl challenge?
“Ribs Feast” The brawlers are given five hours to fix ribs cooked over an open fire utilizing an Argentinian asado iron cross. Each team must create a feast. There must be a dinosaur beef ribs, a pork ribs, and third rack of ribs. They must also make two accompanying sides
What was the advantage challenge?
The advantage challenge was titled “Fish over hot coals.” In which the coaches must fix a dish with a fish focus, cooked over hot coals.
Bobby was given the opportunity to pick which type of fish the coaches would be fixing and he chose Texas Red Fish.
The advantage up to win was a huge steel wind deflectors.

Food Network describes BBQ Brawl as “Bobby Flay and his chef friends mentor and coach the country’s most-respected barbecue challengers in an intense competition. The coaches go head-to-head to inspire and nurture teams of specialty pitmasters from all over America. At stake is the title of “Master of ‘Cue.””
BBQ Brawl Season 6 continues next Sunday with Episode 9, BBQ Duels
The episode is described as: “Captains Bobby Flay, Maneet Chauhan and Antonia Lofaso cheer on their teams, but it’s every Brawler for themselves as they compete head-to-head in two knockout duels. Three competitors make it through, but they won’t be celebrating for long, because waiting at the finish line is a game-changing surprise that no one sees coming.”
The preview for the episode teased that next week would be a double elimination, with two of the remaining five sent home.
BBQ Brawl airs new episodes on Sunday’s at 9 p.m. EST and streams the following day on HBO Max.
