Honda Indy Toronto schedule and road closures for 2025

16 July 20253 Mins Read

Ready, set, go! The Honda Indy is officially back in Toronto this weekend, transforming the streets surrounding Exhibition Place into a roaring 11-turn temporary circuit.

The annual motorsports festival draws fans from across the world and features a jam-packed schedule, including multiple race series, interactive exhibits, and the main event: the 90-lap Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto on Sunday.

From road closures to the schedule, here’s everything you should know about the high-speed festival.

Event schedule

The electric weekend begins on Friday, with gates opening at 9 a.m. and a full day of practice sessions from Radical Cup Canada, Miata Canada Cup, USF2000 and USF Pro 2000.

Fans can stop by Heritage Court at the Enercare Centre for an autograph session with the drivers from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by afternoon qualifying races and the first practice round of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES from 3:05 to 4:25 p.m.

The day wraps up with the sold-out Rev & Run 5000 at 7 p.m., where registered participants get the unique chance to run the race circuit.

Saturday starts a bit earlier with qualifying races for USF2000 and USF Pro 2000 at 8:30 a.m., plus a second INDYCAR SERIES practice round.

Competitive racing kicks off just before noon with the first Miata Canada Cup race, followed by Radical Cup Canada and USF2000 events. The USF Pro 2000 race runs at 4:20 p.m., and the day closes with Ride the Track 2025 at 6:40 p.m., a rare opportunity for cyclists to ride the Indy course.

Sunday’s schedule begins with a warm-up for the INDYCAR SERIES, followed by the second rounds of the USF2000 and USF Pro 2000 races. The main event, the Ontario Honda Dealers Indy Toronto, takes place at 12:22 p.m., and is followed by final races for Radical Cup Canada and Miata Canada Cup in the afternoon.

Throughout the weekend, you can also visit food vendors, beer gardens, interactive displays and other on-site activities.

Road closures

If you’re not planning on attending the festival but regularly travel through the area, there are a number of notable street closures you should be aware of. Although the races begin on Friday, several road closures will be in effect starting Wednesday, July 16 to prepare for the course setup.

Starting noon on Wednesday until 1 a.m on Monday, July 21, southbound lanes on Strachan Avenue will be closed from Fleet Street to Lake Shore Boulevard West. Lake Shore Boulevard West will also be fully closed in both directions from Strachan Avenue to British Columbia Drive from 9 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16 to  1 a.m. on Monday, July 21.

Traffic agents are set to be deployed from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. between Friday and Sunday at Strachan Avenue and East Liberty Street, Liberty Street and Hanna Avenue, and Dufferin and Liberty streets.

If you’re planning on travelling in the area, make sure to plan your trip in advance and account for extra time, or consider taking public transit instead.
