Headed to VELD 2025? Here’s everything you need to know

VELD is almost here, and soon, thousands of EDM fans will be heading to Toronto’s Downsview Park for one of the biggest music weekends of the summer. The three-day festival is back this August with massive international acts, booming beats, and unforgettable energy.

Whether you’re a seasoned raver or a first-time attendee, we’ve got you covered. We’ve put together a guide to make sure your experience is worry-free.

Here’s everything you need to know before hitting VELD 2025.

VELD 2025 Guide: What to know

When is VELD?

Dress to impress and get ready to party! This year’s VELD Music Festival will take place from Aug. 1, 2025, until Aug. 3, 2025. Doors open at 2 p.m.

Where is it located?

It’s all going down at Downsview Park, 1-35 Carl Hall Rd.

How do I get there?

If you’re travelling by TTC, head to the Downsview Park Station. Once you get there, walk west on Sheppard Avenue for about 10 minutes until you see the Festival Terrace at Downsview Park. The main entrance gates are located on Carl Hall Road.

What am I allowed to bring?

According to VELD’s official page, ticket holders are allowed to bring:

  • Small bags, backpacks, plush backpacks, & purses (maximum 12″x12″)
  • Plastic water bottles and CamelBaks (with no more than two main compartments and one smaller compartment) – EMPTY upon entry
  • Cell phones
  • Fanny packs
  • Sunglasses & hats
  • Cream-Based sunscreen
  • Lighters and factory-sealed packs of cigarettes and factory-sealed disposable e-cigarettes
  • Earplugs
  • Powder makeup and factory-sealed tampons
  • Sealed packs of gum
  • Flags/banners or handmade signs (no metal or wood flag poles)
  • Non-professional flash/still cameras, handheld video devices under 6″
  • Empty water guns
  • Inflatable Beach balls
  • Factory sealed glow-sticks
  • Glowing/illuminated costumes or jewelry
  • Sealed lip balm
  • Hula-Hoops
  • Poi Balls
  • Dragon Ribbons
  • Flow Wands
  • Glow Whips
  • Totems using poles made with pool noodles or PVC

I don’t have a ticket. Are they still on sale?

Lucky for you, they are! Though VIP tickets are sold out online, there are limited on-site VIP upgrades available first-come, first-served.

Not into VIP? No worries. VELD Front Gate Tickets can be purchased online. Be sure to purchase tickets by July 22, 2025, to guarantee wristband delivery by mail.

The countdown to the big day is now on. Get ready to fully immerse yourself in one of the biggest EDM festivals around. It’s going to be epic.
